France got both the gold and the silver medals on the 10K-points-race!

Incredible performance of Ewen Fernandez who has been very ambitious this Thursday night in San Benedetto del Tronto. The weather did not look Italian, but rather “Breton” or “Norman”… Was it a sign for the native of Le Manche Department (in Normandy) and his compatriot from Saint Malo (in Bretagne) ?

Anyway, Ewen Fernandez escaped from the pack for a solo ride at the beginning of the race, sometimes completely alone, sometimes joined by another skater, in order to collect as many points as possible. He then got back in the pack to rest for a bit, before escaping again for some extra points at the end of the race, so that he could consolidate its leadership. With a total amount of 21 points, he finished the race way ahead of his opponents.
