Gary Hekman (Bont) set a new world record for the Berlin half marathon, in 30’35” on April 4th, 2016. The Dutch skater won the final sprint against world champion Peter Michael (Powerslide Matter). Venezuelian Alexander Bastidas completes the men’s podium. Note: on the picture, most skaters in the leading pack (7) have a 3×125 mm set-up.
The women’s race is won at the sprint by Belgian world champion Sandrine Tas (Powerslide Matter) in front of Germans Josie Hofmann (Arma Arena Geisingen) and Katharina Rumpus (Powerslide Matter).
