The 2016 edition of the World Roller Speed Skating Championships will be held from September 2016, 10 to 18. A total of eight male and eight female skaters may be registered in the Championships for each attending country.

The race program will be the same for men and women, Junior and Senior categories
Track
- 300 m time-trial race
- 500 m sprint tourna ment
- 1.000 m sprint tournament
- 10.000 m points + elimination race
- 15.000 m elimination race
- 3.000 m relays (3 ska ters only)
Road
- 100 m sprint tournament
- 1 lap circuit
- 10.000 m points race
- 20.000 m elimination race
- 5.000 m relays (3 skaters only)
Marathon
World Games 2017
The 2016 World Speed Skating Championships wi ll be the base for the qualification ranking for the participation in the 2017 edition of the World Games to be held inWroclaw from July 21 to 25. All 2016 World Champions on track will be included as well as 3 skaters belonging to the hosting country (Poland).
