2017 European Masters Marathon Championship in Engadin / Saint-Moritz, Switzerland

The 2017 European Masters Skating Marathon Championship will take place on September 10th, during the mythical Engadin Marathon in Saint-Moritz, Switzerland, the fastest marathon in the world.
The event is organized by the Swiss Skate Tour, which has revived the skating marathon series in Switzerland for several years, now.

Who Can Participate?

Only skaters born in 1986 and before can take the start. The participants should bring their federal member card/number.

Schedule of Sunday, September 10th, 2017

  • 09:00 – Marathon Block A (not taking part in the European Masters Championship)
  • 09:02 – Men’s U40 and U60
  • 09:03 – Women’s U40, U50, U60, U70, and O70
  • 09:04 – Men’s U50, U70, and O70
  • 09:05 – Marathon Block B
  • 09:06 – Marathon Block C
  • 09:07 – Marathon Block D
  • 09:07 – Short Distance / Juniors

The organization reserves the right to modify the schedule without notice. The maximum time to complete the marathon is set at 2 hours.

Registrations

Price

  • 60 CHF until January 31st, 2017
  • 70 CHF until July 9th, 2017
  • 90 CHF until September 4th, 2017

Registrations will be closed after September 4th, 2017.

The price covers the round trip transportation by bus from Saint-Moritz to Maloja. Warning: Last bus leaves at 7:30 am!

Course

The race starts at Maloja (1809 m) and ends at S-Chanf (1660 m). A carpet will be available on the right side of the road, downhill after Saint-Moritz, for skaters wishing to reduce their speed.
