2012 Essent ISU World Cup Heerenveen: inline skaters results

A stage of the 2012 Essent ISU World Cup took place in Heerenveen (Netherlands) from 16 through 18 November 2012. Here are some results of inline-skaters…

  • Ewen Fernandez (FRA) took the 10th place of 5000m division B, Ferre Spruyt (BEL) finished 15th.
  • In the division A, Sven Kramer (NED) is still impressive. He won ahead of 3 other Dutch skaters such as Bob de Jong (4th). Alexis Contin (FRA) took the 7th place. Bart Swings (BEL) finished 10th and Shane Dobbin (NZL) 14th.
  • Alexis Contin also skated in 1000 m division B and finished 13th.
  • Michel Mulder (NED) took the 6th place of the 500m in division A, only 13/100 behind the winner.
  • In team Team Pursuit, the French Team composed with Ewen Fernandez, Alexis Contin and Benjamin Macé finished 9th. The Dutch still led by Sven Kramer took the first place 10 seconds ahead Frenchies.
  • Ladies Mass start saw the victory of Mariska Huisman (NED). Nele Armée (BEL) is 14th. Sara Bak-Briand (DEN) was disqualified.
  • Ewen Fernandez (FRA) took the 18th place of the 1500m in division B, 2.65 seconds behind the winner.
  • The American Brittany Bowe finished 6th of the 1000 m Ladies in division A, 1.25 seconds behind her compatriot Heather Richardson who won the race.
  • Bart Swings (BEL) took the 11th place of the 1500 m in division A, 1.33 seconds behind the winner and ahead of Alexis Contin (FRA) Benjamin Macé (FRA) is 16th.
  • The Men’s Mass Start masculin brougth a bronze medal to French skater Alexis Contin (FRA), ahead of Bart Swings (BEL) 4th.
  • The second serie of the Mass Start saw the second place of Ewen Fernandez (FRA). It corresponds to the 6th place of Division A. The giant Roger Schneider (SUI) took the 4th place. Ferre Spruyt (BEL) is 6th and Maarten Swings (BEL) 8th.
