Florian Petitcollin (FRA) and Francesca Conzi (ITA): 2017 Skatecross World Champions

Florian Petitcollin (FRA) and Francesca Conzi (ITA) were crowned 2017 World Champions of Skatecross at the last leg of the World Skate Cross Series that took place in Lyon, France, during the Lugdunum Roller Contest 2017. Because of the weather conditions, the qualification times were used to establish a final ranking.

Men: Florian Petitcollin’s Double

It’s the third victory in a row for Florian Petitcollin in a major event this year. The French skater gets his second world title in a row, equalizing Anthony Avella’s feat.
Yohan Fort (FRA) confirms his comeback at the highest level, getting 2nd place at the general ranking. He’s the only skater to have beaten Florian this season. Anthony Avella (FRA) completes the podium.

Women: Francesca Conzi Puts an End to the French Domination

Italian Francesca Conzi wins her first world title. Despite her 4th place at the Lyon event, she managed to contain Alice Delfino with her consistency throughout the season. She puts an end to 6 years of French domination on the world series!
Alice Delfino, who won 2 of the 3 legs of the season, gets 2nd place at the world ranking for the second year in a row. Being only 12 points behind fellow Italian Francesca Gonzi, she may now regret her double false start during the quarter-finals of Rennes sur Roulettes. A mistake that probably cost her the title. French Maude Oguey (16 ans) completes the podium thanks to consistent results throughout the season, always finishing in the top 4!
