French double at the 2015 Linthmarathon, Switzerland with the victories of Elton de Souza and Margaux Vigié

On May, 31st 2015, the Linthmarathon opened the 2015 season of the Swiss Skate Tour, the Swiss Cup of Skating Marathons. The French did a double in the Senior Men’s and Women’s with the victories of Elton de Souza (EOSkates) and Margaux Vigié (Cadomotus).
Nearly 300 skaters took the start of the 18th Linth Marathon, that is to say nearly 25% more than during the previous editions. Last year, the organization had bet on a new route and a new multisport hall in order to offer better conditions to the participants.
Elton de Souza’ commentary
“First marathon victory for the 2015 season! I had a lot to do during the Linth Marathon, the first stage of the Swiss Skate Tour. My main opponents were italian, Belgian, Swiss and German skaters. Some of them already skate in 125 mm.
After a dozen kilometers, 15 of us found ourselved in front. I tried several times to break away with two Italians who seemed to be in shape, but each time, the pack stretched to catch up on us. I imposed myself at the sprint after 1h08min of physical race.”
