The World Inline Cup 2015 finished with the Czech stage of Ostrava. The 4th event of the World Cup of Roller Marathons crowned the Belgian Bart Swings and the French Juliette Pouydebat, both on the finish line and at the general ranking after the events of Incheon Rennes and Dijon.
The competitors had to fight against heavy and persistant rain. The skaters who had planned to race with a 125mm set-up fell back on good old 110 mm wheels to keep a better grip.
Senior Men: the winning getaway
After 3 laps, a dozen kilometers, Bart Swings (BEL, Powerslide) and his team mate Peter Michael (NZL) broke away together with Akob Ulreich (AUT) and Ondrej Suchý (CZE). On the next lap, the two Powerslide skaters stepped on the gas and shook off their breakaway partners. Peter Michael crossed the finish line first, followed by Bart Swings.
Senior Women : Juliette Pouydebat did it again
In the Women’s category, 3 skaters broke away halfway. The sprint final was decisive: Juliette Pouydebat (FRA) imposed herself in front of Aleksandra Goss (POL) and Katerina Novotná (CZE).
