Ostrava World Inline Cup: Yann Guyader and Kateřina Novotná won mens' and women's races (Czech Republic)

The fourth stage of the World Inline Cup was held in Ostrava (Czech Republic) : Yann Guyader and Kate?ina Novotná (Czech National Team) won men’s and women’s races. The spectators witnessed a beautiful plateau evolve with Venezuelan but also Mexican, Colombian, Austrian and skaters of all Slavic countries (Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, etc.).

Women’s race: Kate?ina Novotná first… at last!

The local skater Kate?ina Novotná, short-track champion got her first victory in a World Inline Cup after two second places in Ostrava. She tried to escape after 3 laps (the race counted 11 laps) but the pack came back on the escapee after 7 laps.
9 skaters competed in the final sprint: Kate?ina Novotná finished ahead of Marta Nunes (Portugal) et Alexandra Goss (Poland).

Men’s race: Yann Guyader confident in his sprint

116 skaters were on the start line of the men’s race in Ostrava. A pack of 20 skaters accelerated. It is composed with Yann Guyader (EOSkates), Uus Maa Team, the Czech National Team and Swiss Skate Team.
In the last lap, Michael Achermann (Swiss-Skate-Team, SUI) tried to escaped but the pack caught him. Yann Guyader took the victory in the final sprint ahead of Leon Alfredo Moreno (Uus Maa Team, Venezuela) and Alexander José Bastidas (Uus Maa Team, Venezuela).
