The skating club GossipSkate organized the 2017 Paname Skate Cross at the Espace Glisse Paris 18 Skatepark (EGP18), on April 15th and 16th.
Men’s Skatecross: The Big Comeback of Yohan Fort
This second edition gathered 70 skaters who came from all around France, but also from Spain, Italy and Ireland. The victory in the Men’s category went to Yohan Fort, who made his big comeback to the top after several months convalescing. He did the best time at the qualifications and won the final in front of his little brother, Jimmy. The winner of the 2016 edition, Flavien Dupeloux, completed the Top-3, in front of Lucien Hugues.
Women’s Skatecross: A First Two-Star Leg for Elisabeth Duchemin
In the Women’s, Elisabeth Duchemin won a two-star leg for the first time in her carrier. She did the best time at each race, including the qualifications. Gaia Parma (ITA) finished 2nd of the final round. Tiffany Derisbourg was 4th at qualifications (35.692 sec), and finaly got the bronze, in front of another French, Maud Oguey.
Note: World Champion Mathilde Monneron and 3rd of the world Léandre Mage couldn’t take part due to injuries. We wish them quick recoveries!
