“I’m extremely happy, I’ve finally managed to win a stage of the World Inline Cup, it’s the first time! This street course is very demanding and fast, the surface is excellent. We’ll come back next year.
There were also leisure competitions all through the day for less trained skaters, and kid races. In total, over 1500 skaters took part in the event.”
Women’s Elite: Katharina Rumpus wins the sprint
Two skaters managed to break away halfway through the race and the final decision was played at the sprint in the last 100 meters. Katharina Rumpus (Powerslide Matter, GER) won in front of local Katerina Novotná (CZE).
The 3rd place went to New Zealander Nicole Begg, who hadn’t lined up on a European race for a while.

“The weather and the course were perfect today. I had two objectives: winning the Ostrava race and keeping my place of leader of the World Inline Cup this year again. Mission accomplished. I’m fully satisfied!”
