A few figures about the 2016 Worlds of Artistic Skating

The 61st World Championships of Figure Skating finished on October 8th in Novara, Italy. The organization summed up the event in a few figures on the Facebook Page:

• 8.000 tickets sold
• 1.500 athletes from 32 different countries
• 70 hours of live streaming on the Internet
• 16 hours of coverage by Raï, the Italian national TV channel
• 13 hotels booked
• 1 shuttle service from 5am to 2am every day
• 107 volunteers
• 2.500 meals served in 10 days
• Cost of the organization: 1.5 million of Euros (financed with the support of the city, of the region, of local partners and of the FIRS)
• 10 millions of Euros of economic impact for Novara
• Over 11.300 followers on Facebook
• 807.573 visits from January till today on the Website novara2016.it, with a peak of over 418.000 visits in October.
